Can't see what's on corvettemechanic.com I'm afraid, so don't know whether you're asking for max speed at the end of a mile or top speed overall.

Weight doesn't make a lot of difference to ultimate top speed so you just need to find a long enough road Geoff !

Well, I broke my own "personal best" a few weeks back at 161 *true* (GPS calib'd) mph, that was enough for me, although (a) this was slightly uphill and (b) there was plenty left in her (as there should be - about another 25mph or so!)

I believe for a ZR1, 4 miles is needed for top speed for a stocker...

Back in the dim distant days of ZR1 development we ran a stock 90 production ZR1 at Fort Stockton in Texas. It took a full 8.8 mile lap to get to Vmax which turned out to be 192 Mph verified on Lites laser measuring equipment.

Out of interest C4koh, what Rpm's was your pulling at 160 ????

I drove 160 for a few mile on the way back from LeMans and it was reving quite high.175 is the most mine has done (backed by GPS).....On a track of course

She was pulling middle to high 5's, I think (possibly 5-6 or 5-7) - although I was really watching the speedo just to get over 160!!

There was certainly no let up anyway - I'm sure 170 could have been broken through without any issue.

175 out of yours tops? You must have the 4.10 rear end then? I have the stock 3.45....

175 is as fast as I've taken it, there was still some more. I remember having a quick look at the revs at 160 and it was somewhere between 5.5 and 6 so I would agree with the revs you just posted.
