Worked in Maidstone today and it looks like(for now at least) the council have run out of roads to up with cross hatching.....They are now cross hatching the pavement in front of cash machines !!!!

Will people walking over the hatching be risking 3 points and a £60 fine???

As the hatching is in yellow, will that mean that anybody standing in front of the cash point for too long will be subject to a parking fine ?

What if somebody using the cashpoint isnt completely in the box and has a foot on the hatching? I guess they may be subject to a parking fine as well. Or maybe even end up getting clamped or even a 6 month walking ban.

Yellow hatching ? Are you sure they've not started to mark out a box junction ? Maybe it means that you can only enter the queue for the cashpoint if you can remember your PIN number ?!!

Something to do with only the machine user being allowed in the box as an anti-fraud measure maybe? Something on the news about it this morning but I didn't catch it all.
