You've got to hand it to Callaway...

1100 miles there and back, more than a few high speed bursts (at least on the way back), shite weather conditions and the old Callaway didn't miss a beat. Got to admit I was expecting some trouble form the old thing (the car that is...)
The old car even wasn't as bad on fuel as expected (bit of a guzzler on the way back, due to more opportunities on the dry roads...) and used under 1/2 a quart of oil on the whole trip. May be imagining this but it seems to run better now after all that driving...
Only downside was for poor Rich (or rich Rich, as he prefers to be called) and his wife. I could swear they kept ducking down as they thought they were going to get showered with bits of turbo when I caned it...
Brett "lead foot"'s ZR1 seemed to thrive on a caning too.

Boy was it wrong of me to doubt Malc's Callaway. We did however suffer a major piece of debris hitting the screen whilst following Malc - couldn't say where it came from though. Cleaned the car today and found a large stonechip on the nose - unavoidable I suppose and with 5000 miles on the clock I can live with one stonechip.
