Black or Silver
Discussion
Ok guys as I have mentioned to some of you already I am getting some 5 spokes ZR1 wheels. The idea being that I will then get the 90 wheels refurbed and will keep them for occasional summer use - I'm fed up of cleaning them - takes a good half hour a wheel to do them properly. I'm going for the 5 spokes for ease of cleaning. As much as I like the chrome finish I know its going to be a waste of time keeping them in an as new condition.
That leaves powder coat silver Or black

I'm thinking of black as I like JT's wheels and the Grand Sport wheels.
Your opinions are wanted

The chrome ones look great until the first winter when the salt starts to strip the chrome unless you wash the wheels everytime you take the car out. This is a PITA so go for the black! Make sure they are powder coated and not painted and then lacquered.
I am thinking about a set of the Black Z06 Motorsport rims for my car maybe next year.....they have the polished rims and the black centres.

Black in theory but silver in practice. I had an R5 Turbo and I sprayed the wheels gunmetal grey. As soon as they got dirty, they looked like the wheel covers were missing. You'll find you're cleaning them a lot.
Are you sure AFS supply the UK. I tried many, including AFS, and most wouldn't supply to the UK. Having said that, I may be recalling incorrectly. One company sold sets of wheels for about $1300 and sold the same set on ebay America for $750. That might be AFS come to think of it. ebay America wouldn't send to the UK at the time (last year) so I decided I wouldn't be ripped off for $1300 when they were selling on ebay for much less.
Had to buy wheels from T.Byrne Motorsports in the end to make sure I paid the best price for the particular wheels I wanted.
