Good body shop near maidenhead?
Discussion
Hi there, over the last few months the rear quarter on my 997 has got a bit dull and a detailer/paint correction guy reckons a previous re-spray has not been done correctly so needs fixing.
I need to get the rear quarter and a blend in on the rear bumper and door. I'll prob get the wheels done and the front skirt (de stone chipped) at the same time.
Can anyone recomend a paint shop near Maidenhead?
Also, rough idea of cost? Car is a 997S in silver (polar? arctic?)
Cheers
Mike

Hi Mike, I would suggest you give RSJ or 911 Virgin a call and ask them who they use for paintwork. They are both based near Maidenhead.I need to get the rear quarter and a blend in on the rear bumper and door. I'll prob get the wheels done and the front skirt (de stone chipped) at the same time.

You could check with Tognola in Datchet. I know their service side is first rate, and they have their own bodyshop which I think is on site.
Tognola gets all their body shop work done by http://www.excelcarbodyrepair.co.uk/ as does Ray Northway. They're in Reading and I've had several of my cars painted there over the last couple of years. Excellent workmanship & attention to detail. Unreservedly recommended.
ETA: too slow!

These guys don't seem to be there any more. When you ring them they are not Excel 'but have a body shop'. Think I'll try someone else.http://www.excelcarbodyrepair.co.uk/

I've had friends use these guys on a Cayenne and were very happy.
Might be pricey though.

I used Bodytechnics for a tricky dent repair on my 996 Turbo S after a car park hit and run. No complaints about the work but they were *very* expensive, albeit on insurance. Plenty of exotica in at the same time, given they are approved by just about everyone from McLaren to Mazda.
