are there any upgrades available for the c5,lower or stiffer etc?
i dont want to go mad just yet as i think some of the feel im getting is because im not used to being on the left but the car does tramline a bit and isnt to comfortable on mid corner bumps/potholes.
could do with a bit more steering weight too.
thanks
mike.

Sounds like the factory built yours the same as mine, if that's any help! I'm still using the last few thousand miles of the original EMTs at present and my main interest in different tyres is users reports on the things you mention (see this forum or www.tirerack.com).

I have the GM Performance T1 Swaybars on my Z06 (they fit the standard C5 as well), LG Motorsport coilovers and Kumho tyres they make mine corner like it is on rails.

Can I add the Z51 upgrade - ie rear sway bar for the non Z06 vette; no idea how this stacks up against the T1. You can order it direct from www.gmpartsdirect.com

Yep, the Z51, Z06 and T1 swaybars will bolt right in. I'd go straight to the Z06 spec front and rear as it won't affect ride quality in a straight line. Its also possible to lower the suspension front and rear by adjusting the nuts on the spring mounts. Cheaper than buying a coilover kit and it'll allow you to see if you start hitting speed bumps and kerbs too much.

The car will tramline a lot less and be much happier around corners if you dump the EMTs and swap to real tyres.

Lowering the car can be a world of pain and speed bumps and my Z28 are a no-no. Plus whenever you lower, you have the hassle of getting the car set up again for caster and so forth.
