Hey guys, looking to get rid of my mk2 golf 16v but the immobiliser is cutting the fuel pump and ignition. A "friend" came over who is an electrician but he just cut a bunch of immobiliser wires and left, car is none the better!Car turns over and I managed to get the fuel pump working but ignition is stil immobilised. Is there anyway of bypassing the immobiliser without having to rip the entire alarm out? It is a 1984 immob, 6019 alarm module and 5930 main siren.

Wiring diagram for the alarm module and immobiliser would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers,
Ahmet

If we are talking about an aftermarket system it should be easy enough to bypass.
Is it an early jetronic system? (mechanical injection)
May be just a case of putting a switched live to the +ve of the coil.

Shouldn't be too hard to sort out. Just depends how the alarm guy left it. But to fully remove the system correctly would take a couple of hours

you need to identify where the immobiliser wires were spliced in, thats the hardest part.
try to find a diagram online and go from there, you will be looking for single wires that have been cut and joined to the immobiliser wires.
you can usually tell the wires that have been cut just by the original harness colours.

Its normally fairly obvious which wires have been cut, and that need to be rejoined to bypass the immobiliser. Most alarms etc in my experience are not that well fitted and take a matter of minutes to remove.
