Hey,

I'm not mechanically minded at all and have very little clue when it comes to cars so I'm looking for some advice.

Basically, my car went in for new front springs and a service about a week ago. It's also had new front calipers, pads and discs on the front and springs and shocks on the rears. It's a seat leon reference sport 2L tdi on an 06 plate. Mileage is about 56000 miles.

The problem is when I'm driving along at around 1500 revs, the car starts to jerk a bit like its about to stall, but it doesn't and the rev counter wavers. I first noticed it in 4th gear but its actually doing it in all 5.

Can anyone offer any advice on this? After a £1300 bill I really don't need to be forking out more on an issue that could have been caused by the service.

Katie

I don't think it would have been caused by the service, but some sort of diagnostic scan would be a good idea to make sure everything is running well, as it might be a problem with a sensor somewhere.

My money is on EGR valve or anti shudder valve, both close together on the inlet and a common problem.
Get the codes read but if nothing is stored then your looking at the above.

Thanks guys, there was nothing on the diagnostics scan so will get the EGR valve checked. It's been suggested by a couple of people now so definitely worth a shot.

Will be back if its not lol
