Using loads of carb cleaner - but I don't have a compressor.

I assume that, in order to ensure the various holes are clear, I need to eith er buy a compressor or use aerosol can compressed air to give things a good blow out.

Could you "cobble" something together using a spare tyre some tube off an old foot pump and a clamp to regulate the airflow? (very scrapheap challenge I know but it may work thumbup )

Well, I probably could - but at £3/can I might just buy some compressed air aerosols - as I expect I won't need a comprerssor long term.

I read on another forum that a foorpump with a football inflating needle is pretty good for blowing into carb orifices (or is it orifi?).

buy a 12v compressor , which you can use for topping up your tyres . needle valve for pumping up footballs will work well with one of these

I have one of those little 12v tyre compressors - they produce very low flowrates (teeny piston revving quickly).
