As part of their refurb, I want to spray my calipers and i'm looking for any tips! I'll be using rattle cans since i'm going for the pro (-foundly crap) look ;-) So how's my technique looking so far?

1. Wire brush via drill & a dremel for the tight spots
2. Fine scotchpad (is this worthwhile, can't see it scuffing cast iron much?)
3. Halfords primer x2 thin coats
4. Ultra fine scotchpad
5. Hammerite Smooth x3 thin coats
6. There's a transfer / sticker to apply
7. Halfords Clear x4 ultra-thin coats

I'll warm the tins up in a tub of hot water before spraying and i'll warm the calipers with a hot air gun before spraying, hopefully cut down the cure time a bit.

from dremel to fine scotch may be a step too far, I would probably red scotch, primer will cover it.
All above looks as it should although if it were me id brush it.

Youll also need a good degreaser, otherwise all your money invested will go down the drain.
