2007 Cooper S Paint Problem

Hi all,

I've noticed on my rear left hand side of my Cooper s has started to change colour in small blobs. It feels smooth to touch so my only guess is that it's something to do with under the actual top layer of paint/lacquer? Any help would be appreciated.



I'm in the Oxfordshire area, if that helps at all.

Sorry Chap - but it looks like it's had a respray/repair in the past and bad prep is causing the lacquer to fail.
No quick fix solution - I'm afraid it's going to need re-doing. A smart repair may well be your best bet.

in the meantime don't use a power wash on it as once it starts to lift it wont end. Smart repair probably isn't the best solution in this case, as repairing the area in question isn't going to sort out other areas that haven't appeared yet, not that they will.... but they may.
