Have we played this game before?

No cheating. Must be an average readout not an instantaneous readout!

I'll start us off nice and high. (This is an average over about 5000 miles.

Every time I drive, I get the warm fuzzy feeling that I'm making my contribution to Pastor Maldonado's next crash! biggrin

How accurate is the 530d's consumption compared to the gauge?

Will get mine up tomorrow if I remember, over the last 1500 miles it's somewhere around 23mpg which isn't too bad.

My sthole Avensis, when not deriding me for having desire for life, eeks about 46 miles to every gallon of greasy poison.

Fiat Doblo, 1.9JTD. Fiat Ugly design, no attempt at aero, excellent for house DIY, and bike carrying. Sense of humour on the styling is needed though.

Official figures are around 48mpg

However this is a car from 2004 when the manufacturers didn't make numbers up quite as well as they do now.
My Dad has the later model which claim 60mpg and doesn't achieve 40mpg.
