Aam' gonna 5th.

They've got a lot to do to turn things round but if anyone can do it they probably can. But it won't happen overnight.

8th. Engine will be unreliable and underpowered, and the team couldn't organise musical chairs with 3 blokes and 2 seats.

I heard it was 4 blokes...

I went with 6th. Reason being they came 5th this year with the best engine on the grid.

They got a load of points in the first race of the year (2&3) that they won't do next year.

They just about beat Force India.

Next year it's an unraced engine when all the teams have got that 1 year under their belt.

I predict they'll finish higher than the last time Alonso drove for them.

I was the person you were talking about who said that McLaren would be last or 9th as I dont think Marussia or Caterham will make 2015.

I think that Mclaren will choose KMag which would be the wrong choice in my opinion and I still stand by my prediction that they will be last and feel more confident now as dispite knowing a great deal about Jenson and Kevein, have qualifying, race and loads of data about their driving cannot choose which one to go with and taking so long to decide that I cannot think of another word to sum it up but a JOKE.

Why involve the board as all they are intersted in is the race team to be successful and am sure they think the senior people in the race team are best qualified to choose the right driver. They seam to have a problem deciding the driver so it does not give me confidence they can build a race winning car,far from it.

Mercedes will have more engine development than Renault and Ferrari,so their teams will get better than 2014.Red Bull will do well due to their chassis,I think Kimi and Seb will do better than expected in the Ferrari and Toro Rosso ans Sauber will be steady and reliable which leave McLaren at the back as the Honda engine has not had the development it should have and I can see them having similar trouble with the car as Lotus did last year.

This may sound like a daft question but will they even be aiming to win next year or can they afford to treat it as a development year for the engine and car so they can have a proper shot at the championship in 2016? Either way, I can't see them coming in the top-3 and I think it most likely they'll be at the back of the mid-field.

Its a joke, it shows an internal struggle on direction and wheres the leadership within the management?

With this in mind I wonder if Honda have chosen the right team let alone a driver.
I was thinking the same thing this morning. What happened to "Ron's back and he's in charge!"

Very hard to call, Honda may play a blinder and mclaren build a half decent car in which case 2nd or 3rd.
The problem is its the integration between chassis and PU that has made the merc the class of the field. This took years, and i think it will take Mclaren at least a season to get to this level. Although Honda gave them 100M dollars to build next years car, this is offset against no title sponsor
Plenty of rebuilding is meant to be going on, but this takes time to bed in, and results to be produced.

Unless Honda come up with something really special engine wise, which is unlikely imo, I can't see McLaren beating Mercedes, Red Bull, Ferrari or Williams, so 5th at best, but I think they will also struggle against Force India and Lotus who both have Mercedes engines for 2015, so I can't see better than 7th realistically.

I agree with 7th, and only because I think Torro Rosso have gone too far with the youth policy, otherwise McLaren would be 8th (at best). They will be battling Sauber next year, not Mercedes.

I've been generous and said 6th place.
Honda could surprise us all, but the overall package just won't be there in 2015.
Of course, the team needs to decide who will drive for them and at the rate that decision process is proceeding they'll be doing well to make that announcement before the first race laugh

After the first 94 votes, nobody has said champions.

I wonder what Alonso, realistically, expects.

Building year with promised, podiums, maybe even a cheeky win, something solid to build into a championship winning year in 2016

He would need to be drinking Bacardi, or something stronger, to think that was realistic. Multi car pile up is his best/only chance of a podium in 2015 IMHO.

Pointless speculation at this stage.. At least when 2015 cars are running it can be more than wild guessing and the form starts to show.
