EDITED JULY 2016 - EVENT NOW TAKES PLACE AT NEWARK SHOWGROUND, NOTTNGHAMSHIRE, 1-5PM. NEXT EVENTS ARE TOMORROW, JULY 24TH, AND SUNDAY AUGUST 21ST

Good evening all! I am delighted to inform you about a new monthly classic and sports car and bike gathering held in the grounds of Doddington Hall, just outside Lincoln.

I am a local enthusiast with a passion for nice cars and good coffee, and have set this up in partnership with the estate as a venue for like-minded enthusiasts to bring along their pride and joy for a chat and a coffee in a beautiful location.

There is no charge for the event and I would like to make it clear that it has been conceived by myself as a way to engage with fellow enthusiasts and see a wide range of cars and bikes in the same place. It is not an event that Doddington Hall has conceived to drive additional revenue.

One Sunday afternoon every month, from 2pm until 5pm, we will be meeting to the side of the main Hall, behind the café/restaurant and shops, on a nice grassed area with views of the Hall and Gardens, and the surrounding countrywide. It is a lovely peaceful and picturesque location, only a short (2 minute) walk to the popular café serving delicious hot and cold drinks and food.

Whilst the event is predominantly aimed at classic and sports cars and bikes, we are not fussy and everybody is welcome! If (like me, at least currently!) you do not have a vehicle to display but would like to come along to see the other vehicles, please feel free! Parking is reserved at the specific site for display vehicles, but there is ample parking on the opposite side of the road in the main car park for other vehicles.

Facebook page is here:

Facebook event is here:

Doddington Hall website is here: (Hall and Gardens to explore, farmshop, café/restaurant and shops)

www.doddingtonhall.com

Location is here: Doddington Hall, Doddington, Lincolnshire, LN6 4RU (on the B1190, Lincoln Road)

Parking:

- for display vehicles, please take the ‘Delivery’ entrance alongside the café, first on the left if travelling North (away from Lincoln), second on the right if travelling South (towards Lincoln)

- Note – there is also an ‘exit only’ on the right if travelling South towards Lincoln

- for other parking, please use the parking area on the opposite side of the road to the Hall

All will be signposted on the day

Look forward to meeting you there and then! (I will be the tall one in a high-vis jacket).

Thanks, Ben.

As a regular customer of the Farm Shop and Cafe, it would be rude not to.
Always happy to support something new, local and car related.

We'll be there. Less than 10 miles away, lovely to have something so close.

If I'm not working I'll come along to this. I'm only 15 mins down the road in Lincoln. I've a 330ci m sport, so not sure if that would qualify for the show bit or the car park across the road.

Thanks for all the support everyone.

I think a well-kept e46 m-sport can just about get through as a classic now ;-)

I live in Nottingham so would make a nice run out in my Mercedes R107 provided the snow and salt have gone.

Just checking that this is still happening. Thinking of having a run over from Sheffield in the M3 as the weather looks to be picking up for the weekend.

Cheers

Is the list of display vehicles full?

If not, do you just turn up and park with the rest at the side of the hall?

Thanks

Hi Andrew, no booking required, just turn up and park, either in the display area if you're bringing something of interest, or in the usual parking area if you're just spectating, cheers.
