Is anyone else having buffering issues with this, it happens at all times of the day, and over the last few weeks have got worse and worse

I am about to take a hammer to the box

I have reported it several times and seem to get a stock answer.

As an example its been buffering for about the last 2 hours

Have to disconnect then reconnect the VPN.

Seems Etisalat have changed their tactics, and now block it after half and hour or so rather than trying t just slow it down (Throttling) for the last few years.

Actually works better now for iPlayer funnily enough.

Mine has got better and better over past few weeks after all the recent upgrades. Very rarely buffers at all now, and much more channels on catch up now too.

I am with DU though for broadband and they do seem to be a bit more open than Etisalat from what I am hearing.

Mine was fine throughout the day yesterday, as soon as 8pm came around, completely unwatchable again.

I don't run the "UKTV Box" but a desk top with with a VPN account. Not as convenient as the box with a remote but more versatile and shed load cheaper, only 30 chips a month. Been using it since DSTV got turned of 5 years ago.

at 16:30 this afternoon, via the speed test link it was about 0.8, other UK and spanish servers over 5 and in the UAE 20!

I've sent them an email to see what is going on.

Thanks for the replies

I ran a seperate speedtest last night via servers in the USA & UK and they returned around 10mbps, at the same time ran the server for UKTV and got less than 0.5mbps

Its almost as though DU are messing with the connection

I emailed UKTV yesterday and as of yet not heard anything back

Same issue tonight, unwatchable

Piss poor here too.

Getting 0.52mbps on the speed test above and a solid 16mbps on normal speedtest.

I get a better connection using wifi hotspot from my mobile.

I've noticed over the last few days the internet is much slower here in The Greens. I'm now having trouble streaming YouTube videos via Apple TV.

Perhaps another undersea cable has been damaged.

On their FB page 54 minutes ago.

"Please note: the issue with some peoples UKTV is still been looked into. We should have a resolution shortly. Updates will only be posted on this page."

We'll see.....

I could be wrong, but didn't you guys go for a different service to one me and chilli are on?

Mine is still running fine. Also with mine I don't need to wait for email response. Is all done over live chat. Do you not have that issue?
