Dates for those interested.

So, briefly, the format would be similar to the Welsh Weekender/Highland Hoon 2014 - rock up on Friday evening and meet the rest of the reprobates for dinner, and some other refreshments. Up early on Saturday for breakfast, then hit the road for 9:30-ish and enjoy your beautiful car in some of the best scenery Scotland has to offer. A couple of coffee stops and lunch while we're out, then back to the hotel to round the day off. Then breakfast on Sunday, farewells etc..

I'll update this thread as and when required.

As 2014, limited to 20 cars

Cheers!

Scott

Hi Scott. Provisional yes from us... It we're in the States for September and will be back a bout a week before your hoon. Will confirm a bit later if that's ok. You planning on starting from Pitlochry again?

Hiya Martyn,

We've done Pitlochry, so we're moving the base this year.

Heading up to the Isle of Mull at the same time. Sadly not in the Aston but with the family for a holiday. Would of loved to go on this run

Just a wee update.

BigEck has agreed to be my wingman again, this year (thanks pal).

Between us, we've hashed out the route, and I must say, it looks to be a belter!

We'll be doing a recce run in a few weeks prior to the hoon, and making some notes for the route packs.

I've sourced accommodation, and just trying to work some bamboo under the hotel's finger nails to get a deal put together.

If you guys who've out your name down could PM me your email address, I'll get a list together.

Cheers!

Scott

Can I ask how Highland is Highland? Just asking as I may be back around then and interested to see the route? Did you see the stuff in the news this week about the North Coast 500?

Hi mate,

How highland is highland? It's in the Highlands wink

The entire route is in the dark green shaded area.

I saw the article on the North Coast 500 route. It's a great route, for sure. I've done most of it in the past, but, we won't be doing it for this years Hhoon15.

I can't give out details of the route until nearer the start date, and I won't post it on a public forum, I'm afraid.

However, I can tell you the route is a little longer than last years, and equally as enjoyable from driving, and scenery points of view.

We've also got great accommodation options that we're working on. When we do get the recce done, I know we'll have a memorable spot for lunch.

Excellent, that will be the business. Some great roads in there and you're avoiding the dreaded A96!

Completely understand about not posting the route, that makes complete sense.

Hopefully I'm back in the UK at the time, I'd really like to join in and put a few miles on the car.

I did the east side of the 500 in it last year so looking forward to doing the west side this summer en-route to a service.

Look forward to your updates!

Cheers.

Hi Scott

Good to see your plans coming together nicely. We aren't going to put our names down at the moment because, as you know, we are coming up to do the Porsche spring version of this so we might have seen enough of Scotland for 2015 after that. If we should find that we just can't get enough of it though then we will be in touch!

See you soon matey wink
