Am I missing the point?

Why am I'm paying a small fortune to watch a guy who passed his ARDS this year and has only done 4 races? And in 2 of those his times were SLOWER than in qualifying?

I don't blame him personally, if I got the call I'd gladly accept too, but surely this is a year too early. After all, it is racing we're paying to see.

It was my understanding that this is for Gentleman racers. If he can afford a car and has the paperwork then fair play to him.

Will be good to see Tom Kristensen again.

I see no issue with mere mortals getting a drive. It's not a cheap event to put on and I daresay Theo will be stumping up some cash for this so I think it's fair. I'll bet he's taking every opportunity between now and then to be out on track and getting some race tuition so he's not embarrassed on the day.

I have just passed my ARDS and I've just purchased an Austin A10 that has an entry at the revival. You have just paid a small fortune for me to have fun.

Is that not the same?

Nope an Austin 10 I'm in the Lavant cup.......

But yeah I meant A40 but it was more the fact that a lot of drivers potentially have the limited experience of Theo at Goodwood.

Woah, bks to that!

Tell us more about this car and get some pics up!

I frankly don't give a st who's racing...I'm going to a world class event, with thousands of participants and couldn't care less about just one person I've got no interest in anyway.

I'll have an awesome time no matter who's racing or whatever. Duh!

You do realise that 65% of the drivers at Revival are owner/amateur drivers. He's just another one that happens to be famous. Fair play to him, Goodwood is all about yesteryear a period when anybody with some spare cash used to turn up and race for fun.

Tom K was mighty when he drove the Shelby Daytona in the wet with Kenny Brack. He's also the nicest driver I've ever met.

In fairness, it can't be any worse than paying to watch Maldonado.

I was jesting, I was trying to make a point that anyone can drive with the right car and licence so just because a celebrity is driving shouldn't make a difference.

Nope, I was in the States (where PH on a mobile is effectively unusable)…but I'm back now!
