V8 Vantage Roadster - short term hire?

Hi guys,
In the process of deciding what car to buy next. A 4.3 v8 roadster is most definitely on my list along with a few other options.
I tried a 4.3 vantage roadster with the paddle shift box 18 months ago and came away feeling a bit disappointed. Ultimately didn't end up buying an Aston Martin, but still hankering after one now, but would definitely be looking for a manual.
Problem is I'm looking at an early car (07, poss 08) to be within my budget, I really wanted to try driving one properly rather than just a five-minute spin round the block.
I would probably now wait until the winter to buy one at a winter reduced price, but wanted to try one now without wasting anyone's time so that I knew if it was going to be the right car for me.
So just wondered if there was anywhere that anyone can recommend for a place to hire one for a day, most of the stuff I've seen online seems to limit the mileage to 100 miles and are looking for about £400 for the privilege. I just wondered if anyone had any experience with any particular company or could point me in the direction of any alternatives?

Just a quick bump of an old thread I created.
I'm now giving very serious consideration to an Early V8 roadster, I am conscious that I want to waste any private sellers time and would like more than just a quick test drive down the road. I really wanted to spend half a day in a car to if it's right for me.
So if anyone has any suggestions for somewhere I could rent one for a short-term day or even half a day please do point me in the right direction. Thanks
