Ever seen a seasonably run of the mill car with a rare option on it?

Never seen:

(Corsa Integrated Bike Rack)

or

(Vectra B Colour Sat Nav - super rare)

or

Ford Focus self park

Name your rare options!

Had a fairly basic Corsa hire car with a heated steering wheel, which seemed a bit odd.

Ive seen someone using one of those before. Looked like quite a good idea actually.

Haven't they just brought it back with the Mokka?

The new RS3 with ceramic brake option?

Although saying that, they seem to be a common option on anything £40k+ nowadays whilst once reserved for exotica.

I wonder, when these cars get to 5-10 years old, and are (relatively) dirt cheap, is it possible to change the ceramic brakes with standards, are the hubs the same?

The Poxhalls/Opels with the integrated bike rack are quite common here in Euroland.... Renault also offer it on some models.

My Ovlov XC90 has a 2.5keuro paint job and a 2k+euro standalone diesel heater for the cabin and engine block (very rare outside nordic countries).
I thought it was odd to have outside nordic countries too, but for some reason land rover felt the need the have it on ALL diesel l322 range rovers. Didn't think we got it that cold?

Not rare or too fancy, but I had a chuckle when I realised the boot floor on my old CR-V Honda turned into a table with fold down legs when removed.

EP3's had leather as a rather unpopular option.

and a sat nav even moreso

MK2 MR2's were available with cruise control - rocking horse poop, especially on the turbos.

Correct. Any Focus with Conveneince Pack has park assist, so LOADS of them have it.

I had a Hyundai ix35 suv thingy as a hire car. It was low in the range and not even 4x4 with just the bottom 1.7 diesel engine.

It had heated seats front and rear!

I did some digging, not many cars have heated rear seats even further up the range so it seems a strange thing to put on something like that. Great entertainment for surprising the people in the back though wink

My Focus snotter has Leather and cruise which was a £1500 option pack when it was registered in Jan 1999. Quite rare I think.

It's certainly commonly done on Porsches especially when PCCBs were new and perhaps manufacture not quite sussed and prone to very, very expensive failure.

Just the discs and pads.
