Having spent another wonderful two weeks with my partner and the resident family over there, I've come back to the UK with an unbelieveable need for Bermuda fish chowder! I know there are recipes online, but wanted to know if anyone had made any, or tried any that are online and what their thoughts were?

Also, having fell in love yet again with Goslings rum and Dark and Stormys, does anyone know a supplier of 1.75 litre bottles in the UK, or that will ship to the UK? Or anyone that can get me 1.75 litre bottles on their way from Bermuda? Happy to pay for the duty! biggrin

Christ just seen a 151 on that Goslings site, must resist.
Last time I drank that it turned into a bit of a drinking competition with some loud yanks, from which I learnt that leaving your mouth slightly ajar allowed the alcohol to evaporate before swallowing thus leading to victory!!

Thank you very much for the links, I appreciate it. I have found that Waitrose sell it too, according to the website it's £20 for 70cl. A far cry from the $24 I paid per bottle for nearly two litres! weeping

When I was a young lad in Antigua we used to pay $2.80 a bottle, no questions asked about age.;)

Try the shop attached to Vinopolis at London Bridge. They often come up trumps with obscure spirits - it was the only place I could find that stocked Bundaberg rum in London.

Goslings Rum is God's own. Love it. Never seen big bottles of it over here, only the usual 70cl. As mentioned available from Waitrose / Ocado. Also on the Internet fro TheDrinkShop.com

Never forget the sherry peppers! Goslings has now become my favourite drink... Want to get the whole range to try.

These are the bottles I have:

Love the shape of them, but if I don't want to keep spending loads of money to keep them filled! Plus I think they'd be useful for the brewing of sloe gin biggrin so the more I can get, the better!

Found a recipe that looks good for fish chowder, so going to give that a go next week too.

Gosling's Black Seal. For dark rums, that's the "go-to" one, and luckily there's an offie in Shifnal about 10 minutes away that stocks it.

Gerrys in Soho sells Goslings 151 but there is another shop further along the same street that sells it cheaper, for the life of me I cant remember the name of the shop. I prefer the 151 to the normal black seal.

Depending on how bad you want it, I'm happy to bring some back with me at Christmas and pop it in the post.

Only if you have the space for it, that would be amazing! If you PM me then can sort out payment and postage? Unless you live near Suffolk/Essex/Kent!
