Just about completed the front end refurb on my S2 Exige but noticed that the mounting brackets for the top eye of my ohlins suspension seem to have been lowered by about 10mm by drilling a second set of holes in them. This leaves the rubber bobbins and bolts floating in the breeze for the anti-lock brake control unit box. Pics below show bracket in both available positions

I can't think of a reason why you would want to raise the ride height, after all there seems to be adequate pre-load adjustment (when I dismantled the car, preload was at about 50% ).

Any ideas why this might have been done? I'm planning on using the standard holes and then I'll sort the ride height when I do the set-up - just wondered if there was a legitimate reason for doing this .

Thanks in advance for any replies.

Cheers Jim
