Miura on the rest for Concourse of Elegance
Discussion
Enjoy the event guys, I'm jealous. I'm back from offshore today but have a three week old baby preventing me from doing anything exciting for the next wee while!!

I'm hoping to make it along on the Sunday. Do you have a link to the Facebook page? I can't seem to find them.

Much as the classic cars look good, I am afraid they just don't do it for me, and certainly not a £35 entrance fee!
Now if only Paul could have another Italian Car Day,
I will check out the palace and see if they want us there!!!! Now if only Paul could have another Italian Car Day,
Sadly I can't find another venue for the event despite extensive research.
I will be at Holyrood with one of my bangers tomorrow, probably the Maserati Khamsin.
Please come and say hello if you see me.I Might wear another of my Low Viz Shirts!

Thoroughly enjoyed this at Holyroodhouse today, helped by the sunshine. Chance to see lots of rare stuff on my doorstep that I would otherwise never see. Lots of interesting modern stuff out front too that had participated in the Octane Tour. Was a bonus to hear the cars blatting up Queen's Drive during the "Grand Depart" as well.
A couple of my personal highlights: the Ecurie Ecosse Commer Transporter, and a gorgeous 1939 Figoni & Falaschi Delahaye.

I thought the event was really good, the venue was great to set off against the cars. but what I loved the most was being able to get up really close to the cars. now if i was the owner of some of the cars, I wouldve been really nervous allowing people such close access, but i think with an event like that, the crowd in knowledgable and more appreciative of what they can see, so take care (eg, making sure jacket zips, bags etc.... dont graze up against a vehicle).
It really let you see the details and shapes that go to form these cars. it was expensive, but dont know when else I'll get to see such a collection of cars like that again in edinburgh.
bit gutted i missed the la ferrari, P1 and franchitti's cars (they were there saturday i think), but all in all a top event.

.My car was parked next to LF before I asked nicely if he could move it as the space was reserved for Porsches he kindly did .My Spyder was next to Dario's Carrera GT and a lovely 356 Cab and a 964 Speedster . The Porsche display was fantastic as well with some stunning cars .
The whole day on the Saturday was excellent the quality of cars on show where amazing and well worth the £25 to display your car in such a beautiful setting
