Hi all,

Is a 6x3m instant shelter manageable for one person to put up easily enough? Or os a 4.5x3m a wiser option? Anyone got any experience of these things?

All the best,

David

My experience with shelters is that for single-person erection the difficulty isn't a result of the rectangular measurement - but how high the frame stands.

I have a Surf n Turf 6x3m and it's a bit of a chore getting the canopy up and over the two sprung peak poles single-handedly it must be said.

Certainly you'd do well to carry a broom handle as a prodding-stick to help you.

I've got a 6x3m ez up and it's extremely difficult to erect single handedly. Not impossible but very hard, usually ask a passers-by to help

I've used a 6x3 heavy duty one for the last 6 years or so, initially it was difficult to get up on your own but now its easier, and i leave the canopy on the frame, its a lot easier with 2 or more though and usually you can grab sme people to help you with out a problem.

the 6x3 is heavy and strong enough not to fall apart in a bit of wind and bit enough to keep the weather off. dont be tempted to go for the lighter units as they fall apart very quickly..
