Hi...looking to buy a Jag and there is an ad on autotrader for a Super V8, 2004 with 181k miles ..was wondering what the pitfalls are as it seems a good bargain

The engine should be fine. Ideally the gearbox should have had new oil between 75K and 100K, then probably again at 175K. Common issues at that mileage will be suspension bushes, air suspension units and compressor, but you may get away with all of these. Bodies, paint and trim seems robust. At the right price, why not?

Thanks mr_spock...bro has an X5 with air suspension and it has given him so many problems...was wondering whether it is possible to replace the Jaguar air suspension with normal springs, in case the air is faulty...if not, approx how much does air suspension cost on such a Jag?
