If you've recently purchased a new BRZ I'd be interested to know what deal/discount you negotiated. Ideally a manual Lux with metallic paint.

I was going to say check out Drive the Deal as they were showing as having £4k off a new Toyota GT86, but they don't see to list the Subaru on the site...

Way ahead of you on the 86 front. Currently I've had this via a broker on a new one with leather and nav (won't bother with the nav now so that's £700 shaved off)

12k per year
£3k deposit
£339 pm (£320ish with just leather)
36 months

£4.3k saving via DtD.

After discounts the 86 and BRZ are the same but I'm yet to actually get to a dealer and see what their finance terms are.

I would love to stay with Subaru but the Toyota seems to be an easier deal and also now comes with a spoiler as a free option so it'll save having that daft wing on the rear. Plus I think the cabin looks awful with that silver dash facia. But they do come in WR Blue... Hmm. Will keep you posted.

No with a balloon of £10,500.

I've no intention of keeping it for three years and never do. Off to go look at a WR Blue on this afternoon to see how it compares.

Had a nice chat and a walk around a 2016 BRZ and there isn't any changes other than banishing that awful silver dashboard. It's now identical to the GT86 from what I can tell. Anyway, they wouldn't budge on price other than to offer their new car (which had chips off the wing and bumper) to me for £450 off - essentially giving me the paint for free. Wowzers.

Thats because there is no new stock coming into the country. There is also none showing as in production. The only new stock is in the showrooms, so once it's gone, it's gone. No dealer is going to 'buy a deal' on stock they cant replace.

So its not cheaper than DTD at all then?
It's actually £25500 to still have that car after 3 years where as its £20800 on DTD confusedconfusedconfusedconfused
So after 3 years if they are still selling for £14000 you lost £15000 but I would lose £6800

For a Lux vs GT86 leather both with metallic paint:

The Toyota is £22,865 with Drive The Deal
The Subaru is £22,558 with BroadSpeed

The difference over 3 years is their balloon and finance terms which puts the BRZ into silly land as there is nearly £3k difference in favour of the Toyota under the same conditions. I'd still rather have the BRZ.
