Has any body got any recommendations for a adhesive to re-attach the edges of the lining under the bonnet?

Hi mate...There are probably a million and one products but when i fitted a complete heat mat on the 280i it was recommended to use AF178 as its a contact adhesive and has good temperature tolerances...Although that was for a stripped cleaned under bonnet awaiting new matting..So you can try something like the high temp adhesive spray from woolies...

I had a mate who used to get aircraft grade stuff for me but that's a bit specialist I suppose.

Yes, thanks I looked at the Woolies site, the AF178 seem to be the only option. I just wondered if any body knew of any alternatives.
Many thanks Len.

I recently used this stuff. Worked great and no sign of any droop since.

It's an age thing Keith wink

Seriously though, I used the Woolies stuff to do my entire re-carpet, plus the bonnet lining. Good stuff, very volatile, so doesn't keep massively long make sure you replace the securing clips on the lid after use) and use in a well ventilated area, as the fumes really are strong.

I did mine with some High Temp silcone sealant, was a copper colour, not seen any since, did it about 5 years ago. I did take it completly off and re-do the whole thing.

Well I have just ordered a liter so we shall see with time.
Many thanks gentlemen for all your input.
Just on more question does any one have a manual they want to sell or know where I can get one from?

Thanks for the post. Just bought a tin as my lining on my bonnets is getting loose and I need all the space I can get for my new airbox.
