Ive got apps on the iPad and phone but still miss pill popping time, I have a routine when at home I.e take when feeding the dog but I don't always do that and I'm not always home.

So how do you guys remember and what do you use to carry your medication around.

Cheers

I don't but my old fella had a variation of one of these, small , lightweight, http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/?ie=UTF8&keywords=pi...
had a smaller weekly one for the wife so just load it up at the start of the week and hopefully no pills left at the end of each day smile

Cheers. I've just ordered a keychain one off that link as yesterday I went out without the pills so I can stick an emergency stash in there.

The plastic boxes look good ive also order a 7 day one but I don't think that will help I tend to remember I've forgot i just don't want to forget in the first place. If that makes sense, plus I'm nit organised enough to remember to re stock it or I'll re stock it and think I haven't taken them and take them again.

I'm not intelligent enough to to be ill which is why I'm ill in the first place.

Calendar reminders on my phone. My body also tells me if I forget too! (diabetic meds!)

I keep spare pills in the car & my travel bag so even if I forget to pick up my pills from home when I remember I always have a stash close to hand. I don't bother with a pill holder, I just leave them in the blister packs

I'm a nightmare - not just for remembering to take them but then remembering if I've then taken one.

I have to take one pill every 12 hours to prevent my arrhythmia. I've now got a calendar reminder pop-up on my phone at 8am and 8pm every day and also when I get a new prescription I use a Sharpie to mark the pill packets with the day and morning / evening so that I can see if I've taken one, and then I can also use that to work date when I need to order my next prescription. All I have to remember is to do all of that when I get a new prescription.

And that's just one type of pill, twice a day. I can't imagine how I'd cope with more.

That's the other thing I go in to take them then ten minutes later go to take them again or do I? Did I take them the first time, I don't know.

I thought about marking the packet. The apps are pretty good because you mark it off as you silence it but they are too quiet and if the phones in the other room and I take it from memory then later see the phone and think st I've missed my tablet and go to take it again.

Ahhhh it should be so simple.

These pill boxes will help you know what you've taken but not remind you to take it. I've set alarms on my wifes phone for hers but she hits dismiss whilst doing something else & then forgets to take them. The only one she DOESN'T need a reminder for is the first one in the morning. When I get in I always ask if she's taken her tablets & it normally get a roll of the eyes or a 'humph' before a 'did I? I don't think did!'. rolleyes

I take 10 different medications, some once and some twice per day rolleyes

All of them are put into a daily pill box with the exception of the Pradaxa which needs to remain in the blister pack. I carry these boxes around religously now. Carrying meds in blister packs would be a PITA

The mobile goes off at 8am and 8pm daily to remind me, do I forget or miss the alarm? I do but I am getting better, mainly because I have to take diuretics in the morning and getting that wrong means I could be peeing into the night, something I wouldn't want to do often.

I am now in a position that I just remember because I do it so often :-(

Luckily I only have to take my medication once a day and with a meal. As it's generally advised to take them in the morning I have them with my breakfast. Job done.

Can imagine it can be a bit of a nightmare though if you take stuff 2/3/4 times a day regularly.

Pharmacies can put prescribed medicines in 'dossette' boxes for you.

I have spare tablets of my two main meds in both cars, desk at work & my camera bag. I usually carry mid days dose in this handy little holder/drinking cup. Fits in my pocket nicely.

Well I've just bought a st load in Spain for pence without prescription from a proper pharmacy so I'll stick a blister pack everywhere. Might go back and get a years worth.

So much for £16.40 for two packs of 28 1mg and 3mg. 4 euro for 80 tablets and no messing around phoning doctors and picking up bits of paper
