Hi
Just been given a quote fron my local dealer to extend my warranty. Do people think this is good value for money or is it best to shop around to what else is about.
Thanks Steve.

If you want to, put your premium money to one side. After four years you will probably be on the winning side.

In my case, I would have had no claims at all in the past four years, so a few thousand pounds would have been lost.

No right or wrong answer to this. It's insurance,so it gives you peace of mind, the majority of cars are robust but you will read a few posts on here where it's paid its way. If you've got £2K knocking around then if it makes you happy do it.
I took it out for the first year I had my car but then when I gained confidence have not.
Personally I would only go for the premium AM cover because if I am going to have to claim I would want to have what I consider to be the best cover and that would allow me to kick off if I felt I was being shortchanged.

Its just luck, the majority dont need it, the minority occasionally do

....my car 6 years out of warranty, owned the car from just over a year old. Will be 10 years old 75k miles in a few months. So far its had about £1.2k of non consumable parts replaced. Most of that cost has been 3 x wheel bearings. Not sure if a warranty company even cover those , they may be "wear items" too.

So im about £7K to £8K up in saved warranty premiums.....
