Would anyone like to have a guess at what this little collection of parts is going to become?

Hmmm, that was my first thought, but why put it at right angles, and why not just put in one of the bleed valves from CBS? More cunning? Something to do with a plastic bottle perhaps??

Correct thumbup

Because that's the shape of the heater pipe at the highest point where it goes into the bulkhead, see...

Much too easy laugh

I think a corner-tee would be better becaue it would position the bleed valve verticaly, but the local plumbers' merchant doesn't stock them

Sorry Joe, forgot it wasnt the same layout as mine. I did add a CBS bleed valve at the top of the heater pipe but it was a straight pipe. Very useful it has been too. You are either more creative or meaner than me!!

Part of the heater pipe system on mine is copper, I had it all apart last year and it does appear that the corrosion inhibiter in the anti freeze works on copper as well.
