I have not tried it and know nothing but others I know who suffered carbon build up on Audi FSI engines say it is effective but nowhere near to the level they claim and are saying this method is a superior technology...

I have not tried either but I think if I had a high miler diesel I would spend £90 to see what heppened.

Important to note, you are never going to GAIN anything, just get back what you might have lost smile

A good friend of mine has started to use Terraclean via his business, he rates it's effectiveness and knowing how fussy he is would be good enough for me to give it a try, best results seem to be on high mileage diesel engines, hence my 125k mile pick up will be getting the treatment

I tried terraclean and it was ok. The other version mentioned doesn't seem to clean as much of the engine as the terraclean does.

I thought all these premium fuels we are sold these days had cleaning agents in them so the engine was clean 300K miles later? thats some of what you get for your extra 20p a litre wink

Manufacturers are testing modern engines to do many hundreds of thousands of miles with just a few oil changes so all not an issue really if you change your car every few years like many petrolheads

Im do wonder why sometimes why we all take exceptional care of our vehicles then change them before we even benefit from it wink

I had my 15 yo BMW 528i with 75k miles terra cleaned and it now goes like a train, sharper acceleration mainly. Cost £180 I think.
Recommended.

My smokers just passed 100k and I need 300k from her so may be worth considering...with facts.Found no real info on exactly how they do what they claim - its a super cleaning fuel they feed it in place of what comes from your tank? So they run the engine on this for an hour to 'clean it' (but only the bits wetted by fuel - so EGR valves and other emissions gubbins that carbon/gum up horribly aren't touched)?

I had my Audi S6 Terracleaned, they did before and after emission scans and the difference was amazing, felt like a new car and emissions were down quite considerably, Hydrocarbon output was reduced from 84ppm down to just 4ppm, CO% was also reduced from 0.030 reduced down to 0.002 on natural idle test. The MPG average has improved by 7mpg and car accelerates clean and smooth throughout the rev range, felt a little flat and hesitant beforehand, but it has done 180k so to be expected, it has been given a new lease of life. My friend also has had his BMW M5 done and he got rolling road session done before and after, he gained an extra 18BHP after the terraclean which is good result. I know I will be doing it once a year from now on to keep on top of it, we all change our oil to keep it clean so why is the fuel system any different?

I also looked into engine carbon clean before settling for the terraclean. From what I have researched the engine carbon clean machine is an HHO generator, they fill it up with normal water and electrolosis takes over, they poke a hose into the intake hose and duct tape it in (very professional) run it for 30 mins with small amounts of hydrogen being passed into the inlet and then it's all apparently done, I still can't fathom how it is supposed to clean injectors as it's not being passed through them?? Also how does it clean the egr system, exhaust (dpf if fitted) and lambda sensors, won't it just be co2 and h2o again after combustion process??? £100 just to pass water through the system for half an hour essentially, you can buy a hho kit for £300-500 seems a false economy to me..

Too many people watching wheeler dealer
Terraclean is owned by Ed China
IIRC it is a system that ties into the fuel circuit dosing it with detergents etc whilst the car runs for 30 mins
Essentially it does what the additives in decent petrol does
It's most effective on direct injection, DPF and EGR equipped cars
I'd save your money for better fuel wink
