Had a nightmare trying to get into the centre earlier as a road was closed to get to the arcade, sent round the one way roads and think I ended up following a van through the bus station.
How much are they going to charge me for the pleasure of getting lost there?

Mistakes are not tolerated. Drivers are expected to be perfect, infallible robots.
The book will pronbably be thrown here.

Well that's a relief. Didn't quite realise how horrible that place is to drive around and was reminded why I avoid driving in a city if possible. At least I found out my radiator fan still kicks on when it should. And got to sit behind a brand new and very loud GT3 through the lunchtime traffic.

fyi they do have active bus lane cameras in cambridge now.....

think the area you are talking about is not covered as it is 'for access' ... in august, i cheekily accessed the area so my son could go to a shop, and got no ticket, even though i waited on double yellows too...

I have to go into the actual bus parking/turning area in Drummer Street at least once a week to access the maintenance car park for Emmanuel College for work and I have never had any issues....

The bus lanes are indeed now a cash cow - I hear of lots of people caught in Newmarket Road
