The Quality of the Restorations being done in Romania is often way beyond what are being done here the labour rates here in the UK vary from £40 per hour to £80 or £90 an hour in somewhere like JD Classics.
Romania The Labour Rates are far lower so a time taking restoration without cutting corners is far more achievable If you find the right people.
There are many good operations there I have had contact with one family for many years that supply parte there.
Plus we have one at least one person on here that is from Romania that owns 3 early TVRs the third being restored at the moment to a level that exceeds yours or mine or many I have seen although he is on this car using various restores around Europe as TVR specialists are thin on the ground there.

I was a bit amazed about the comments and the lack of trust when we have a look at ads from former Eastern European countries ( or even from Italy, Spain, Greece, etc). Cheaters and story tellers are everywhere......as well as poor quality restorations....
I do not want to go into arguments and have joined this forum because we are all sharing the same passsion, for a very special brand, TVR.
Believe it or not, here in Romania, there are people able to properly restore TVR's ( thank you Andrew for your comment !!!) and the Riviera Blue mk 3 is a perfect example.
If you do your engines in Motorsport workshops in UK, buy your parts from Classic World ( David Gerald), try very hard to make things fit ( quite difficult in an early TVR), and spend hundreed of hours to put everything back together, in order to achieve a far better quality than when the car left the factory, those who are questioning the outcome of the work done, should first have a look and comment only afterwards.
May be the price is looks high, but it reflects the numbers of hours spent and the quality of the work and materials involved. If still in doubt about the quality of the restoration, a plane ticket is not that expensive ( around 300 euro ) and will be happy to pick you up from the ariport, take you to inspect the car and visit a good restoration shop. A test drive with the Grantura is also included....and am not joking !

Well said I actually did not realise they where yours until after I wrote the post I should have recognised my seats in the 1800S the MK3 I would be rather tempted myself if the new garage was built but about 12 months to early but I am sure they will attract the right discerning buyers as all your cars are a real credit to you and those that work on them

I posted the links for people to check out and comment on the cars, not for any nationalistic preduice to arise.
I have seen some shocking repairs here in the UK bye so called experts, and also fantastic craftsmanship. We all know great skilled craftsman and let's talk about their work with out the stereotypes.
For me these cars look the money, as I am finding out cost of parts alone has risen sharply.

My experience of Building TVR's over the years is that ANY good engineer can build them very very well..The Countries formerly behind the Iron Curtain have some very good engineers and metal bashers…
These days we generally have fat birds rather than fit ones
