56 Plate 997.1 C4S Cab - Hold or Sell?
Discussion
Currently running a 56 plate 997.1 C4S Cabriolet for 2.5 years. Great car. Now has 74k miles. Wondering if it's time to sell and move on?
It's under OPC warranty through to June next year. No burning desire to sell but there are a few things on my mind:
1. The OPC warranty has provided excellent value. Nothing really serious but the last year or so has involved a few OPC visits.
2. The inevitable scored bores concern.
3. With the OPC warranty expiring in June next year (at 9.5 years old) the above two become more of an issue.
4. Like the idea of holding on to it but unfortunately we're not in an 'at any cost' environment here.
What would you do?

Indeed I did... What if it wasn't a cab? and wasn't 4WD?It depends on your financial position and what you want! I dont know you so couldnt possibly advise you.

Wow 74k and still running . All the Doomsters on here will be amazed .Some will say that it has done most of it miles going down hill in neutral, maybe it should go into the Porsche hall of fame for examples that got past 25k without imploding.Truly amazing, there is hope
How do you know its on its original engine? If you believe what's written on the internet, your car has probably as depreciated as much it's going to, and you may have a hard time moving it on without a fresh aftermarket warranty. And maybe it isn't for the purists being a cabriolet, but it looks a lovely car, and if it hasn't gone wrong and you still like running it, why not hold on to it? The value isn't going to drop a lot more. And maybe the 997s are going to start appreciating again as the 996s get pretty old - the latest 991s have all gone turbo after all...
