As per title really - looking to replace all 4 of my factory kumhos for something more wearable/useable as it's my daily driver.

Any size /brand recommendations please?

I'm struggling to find decent tyres at the factory size

Many thanks

I swapped the Kumho Ecsta V700 with KU39's for everyday use. I know a few others had done the same. I think only difference is speed ratings. The KU have a higher one i believe

OEM Kumho Ecsta V70A (aka V700) has a very soft & grippy trackday compound.
Treadwear rating: 50
EU wet rating: E
4.8mm of tread depth when new.
Fantastic grip, but short life, expensive, and not great in the wet.

Yokohama AD08R is available in the correct size with a longer life but still v.grippy trackday & road use compound.
Treadwear rating: 180
EU wet rating: B
7.1 - 8mm of tread depth when new.
Excellent grip, significantly longer life, and far better in the wet. Highly recommended from personal experience.

Some trusted friends also rate the Federal 595 RS-R as a budget alternative available in the correct size for about 75 quid each.
Treadwear rating: 140
EU wet rating: E
6.3mm of tread depth when new.

Kumho KU 39s are not a replacement for the V70A at all, imho.
Treadwear rating: 280
EU wet rating: A/B
8mm of tread depth when new.
Far less grip from the much harder compound. Not recommended from personal experience.

Hope this helps - let us know what you choose.

I think the OPs just looking for street tyres, not semi slicks. In which case, any decent brand will do. 215/45s would also fit, and might be a lot easier to come by, even if they are a tad bigger in the sidewall.
