I have seen it mentioned on here a few times but not really sure where to start. I may be needing to store my car somewhere for a while, any help and suggestions are much appreciated.

How does it actually work?
Any suggestions for car storage in or around surrey?

It depends what you want.

If it's cheap storage, then look around for private garages to rent.

Beyond that, maybe a sea container somewhere?

Or if you want somewhere with heating, CCTV and a 'premium' service, then any one of the numerous specialist car storage places that are in the area.

You may be fortunate and stumble across a barn or unit somewhere that's too good a deal to turn down.

Have a read of the recent threads in this section. All the names and details are in those.

I was after something a tad bigger than your average garage as its quite a wide car with big doors. So the average lock up to rent is probably a bit too small.

I spoke to a car storage place and they want the car and keys left with them so they can move it around, and access is only available with a couple of days notice and weekend access may be a problem. Going by a few storage websites I had read it seems quite a lot work this way and I was not keen on that idea.

All I was basically after was somewhere to park my car which is indoors/garaged and if I wanted to go for a drive then I could. Not fussed about climate controlled etc just a tad wider than your average small garage.

Thanks for that. Good to hear it may be what I am after.

I sent him a pm from pistonheads and tried phoning the number on the website last week but could not get through. I think it sounded like a faulty phone line type noise.
I will try again next week.

May or may not fit the bill, but Marc at http://www.jordanscarstorage.com/ looked after my pride and joy for about 3 months at his place.

I recall he had keypad entry etc. to allow people to pick-up/drop-off cars etc. iirc.

Anyhow no harm in asking I suppose.

As for long term storage - he was the business.

HTH.

Hi there, someone has mentioned that you were looking for car storage which led me to your post.

If you have not sorted storage out for your car yet, by all means give me a call on 01784437181 / 07969789702 or drop me a line on - info@anything-automotive.com

I've until recently stored my own cars at main dealers etc & got fed up with restrictions &/or poor service.

I've now got 2no storage facilities in Gloucestershire & Egham, Surrey. We have RedCare Police linked monitored alarms, CCTV, in very secure locations.

We don't ask for 24 hours notice, just 1 or 2 if possible & you can come & go 7 days a week if you would like

All cars are covered & run on battery conditioners, both supplied by us.

We also have covered transporters so we can assist with transporting your vehicles if you'd require us to do so.

Either way, I hope you find or have found what you require,

Lee
