So bsb has rolled into the track the spectators love to hate.

Tomorrows grid for race 1 :

1 Josh Brookes
2 John Hopkins
3 Christian Iddon
4 James Ellison JG
5 Luke Mossey
6 Jakub Smrz
7 Peter Hickman
8 Michael Laverty
9 Dan Linfoot
10 Shane Byrne

So things went tits up for bridewell in qualifying.

Brookes has so often been the bridesmade in bsb but not this year, the titles his.

Another good qualifying result for Hopkins but will the bike last race distance.

Great result for iddon, how does a 'slow' bike like the Suzuki end up on the front row at one of the fastest tracks we have.

Coming back from Snetterton the interesting way I passed the Silverstone junction with the M40. Had to wiggle around a van piled into the side of a car & caravan, I was sniggering gently until came round the other side and saw sporty Kawasaki utterly mashed with dazed rider sat on kerb chatting to van driver - possible BSB fan from today? - eek! Guessing car & caravan took out the bike and van at a confusing junction. Normally stop but there seemed enough adults about and I was frickin' freezing.

Brooke's sub 204 on a bike with no eletronic assistance and no qualifying tyre! fking amazing, it's within .2 of the forward racing moto gp yamahas this year.

Different planet that lad on that bike.

I went off him this time last year when he tweeted the petra playboy pictures ( there was no need for that sort of st) however you cant deny he's been awesome this year and fair play to him he's been in bsb a long time.

Kiyo why is he even still racing here?

There have been a lot of offs so far today , is this just because its colder than it has been this season?

Didn't know Brooke's had done that? Why??

I'm surprised they haven't told Kiyo to go home several rounds ago. He's clearly not got his head in the right place this year, can't blame the bike when he was at the sharp end last year.

I guess because last year he wasn't really fighting shakey for the title, what a difference a year makes.

But why did Brookes put photos of Shakeys missus on twitter?

Because he was bitter and sour last year.

I also due to this, did not really take to him initially this year but you certainly cannot argue with his ability on a developing bike
He genuinely seems like a different racer this year, think he did a lot of growing up over the closed season

Its his to lose now, good on him

Just back from Silverstone. Woodcote about 70% full and Luffield about 40%, all other stands pretty empty. Lots of trackside viewing available. I guess it's a big place to fill.

Brooks monstered that. Measured & controlled, looking unstoppable now.

Haven't seen STK or SSP yet.

It was good to have Colin Edwards commentating and listening to all the things he was spotting on the bikes like Ellisons lack of engine braking etc.

Most of the grandstands were shut which is why it looks empty - the bottom half of the circuit has no food etc so very little incentive to wander down that way. Copse was pretty full, and Woodcote and Luffield were not too bad either. The place holds 150,000 in total so easy to look empty!

They needed to put a tv at Becketts, you can see a lot of the circuit from there so it's a good place to watch (but bloody freezing).
