My GTR is not standard on the rear clam but I have no mesh on the vents on the top of the clam. I also have Zircotec silver heat matting on the underside of the rear clam.

My exhaust is Zircotec coated and my engine intake air is sealed so that only air from outside the car can be drawn in.

My cars cooling system never gets too hot but fuel temperature can still be an issue. I am now convinced that the A1000 HP pump is the culprit and I will be looking to fit a controller to cut the running to on-demand.

Fitted additional vents to my old Can-Am clamshell which did the job.

Details on the build site www.ultima-canam.info

I think leaving the vents without mesh would look very unfinished so perhaps get the latest much less restrictive mesh.

Is the rear exhaust mesh in place? If so,remove or replace with the latest.

Zircotec or equivalent as Paul says.

Or cut some vents into the rear clam, open up a gap in the rear wheel well and place a fan in front which will suck all the hot air out for you. Same area as mine:

Paul, the A1000 was dumping a lot of heat into my fuel system so much so in V bad traffic it caused vapour lock and stopped the car running.
20 minutes rest and it was back to normal, took me a while to suss it back to the pump.
I run two Bosch 044 "motorsport" pumps in parallel now and have no such issue.
I have an unused Aeromotive A1000 controller if you want to make me a modest offer wink

From the image it looks like your wing is actually part of the car bodywork if you get what i mean. How wide is your wing?

It does but it isn't smile the end plates are shaped.

The wing is a little wider than standard, 70 or 72 inches I think.
