I have been lurking for a while trying to research as much as possible on these cars that for some reason I can't get out of my head.

if I bought one :

I am not a track nut but would prob use it for an annual Ring trip and maybe a UK trackway , I wouldn't use the car as a daily driver but prob a couple of times a month.

Do more of these cars become available during the winter ? there doesn't seem to be many for sale apart from this one that has caught my eye

http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/n...

does anyone have knowledge of this car ?

There doesn't seem to be any car to compare for the money, any help advice would be great.

Im looking too.
The black one has a light upgrade on it, look at the rear lights. Apparently cost a fair bit, but not to everybodies taste.
Its turning out to be an elusive car to buy, as most keep them long term.
Best known dealers are trying to push prices up, 36k for a 3R is due to availability being limited too. Its not sold in a few weeks so you could try your luck with an offer. They didnt even reply to me.
I want any colour except black ! personal choice.

I bought mine in February there were a few around for sale some of which had been around for a while. However I know for a fact that the dealers stood firm on the price and one told me they were paying more this year than last to buy stock.[they probably would say that?]

I got lucky managing to buy a 3r for a fraction more than a 2.5 litre car [I would have no qualms buying one by the way] which as so far proved to be a good one [ fingers cross hope I haven't jinxed it].There does seem to be fewer cars around at the moment though.

I would imagine the Mole Valley car would be spot on if you wanted to spend that amount on a Noble.I have to say I have bought and sold many cars but a Noble is one of the most difficult to value IMO. Buy on condition.

Hi and welcome.

Even for occasional track use ensure whichever you buy has a "trackday sump" fitted.

Despite talk of spring being the best car buying time I've always found there to be no specific time of year much different to any other. I've bought in November and January - people are looking anytime. There aren't many for sale 'cause there aren't many and people seem to be holding onto them at the moment.

Regarding the car you mention it looks clean and well worth a look. It appears almost stock apart from the BoV, rear light and side repeaters all being changed. One curiosity I see is the older type power steering fluid reservoir fitment. AFAIR, these were fitted to the older 2.5 and 3.0s (others may correct me on this) so I wonder how it got onto a newer 3R. Worth asking Warren down there as he'll be the only one to make sense of anything!

Post a report on the inspection if you go and look and good luck with your search.

thanks guys, grateful for your knowledge and input.

I'm so busy now so feel I might miss the black one ? i would love a blue one

I have now been offered a GT3 that I have always wanted but somehow still drawn to a noble, it would save me a lot of ££££'s and feel I would still get as much enjoyment as I'm not Senna on the track plus I have a GTS and other bits.

decisions decisions

What is the history of the M400 at Dragon? I can't find much mention of it on the forum (which is a surprise!).

I don't know anything about that one, but has he replaced the rear grill mesh with a solid board ? looks frightening.
If your looking at 2.5's - Chappers car looks good to me, he will be along in a minute, or do a search for him. I also know a nice GTO3 that's available, best PM me

Don't think its a solid board but a fine mesh - pretty sure you can make out the intercooler through it in one picture.

Pretty sure the owner of the blue one that is currently for sale is on the fb group.

Looks like a mesh on the back - same on mine, been told it also helps get some air to the intercooler

If you do make a trip to look at the blue one, happy for you to check out my 2.5 for comparison - i'm near tower bridge, i'm not selling though tongue out

That 2.5 has the smallest rear number plate i've ever seen!

If I was in the market I'd be giving chappers a shout for sure - he took me out in his at Rockingham and was mightily impressed by it smile
