Driving last Saturday when suddenly get a vibrating feeling in the pedal when I press down. No loss of power.
Almost has the same feeling as when a HT lead comes loose.
Theres a very tiny rattling sounds coming from the engine bay (near side).

Am hoping it's the coil pack :-) and not the engine (tappets or followers)

Anyone experienced this before?

When my coil pack was on the way out, the engine would misfire when accelerating hard.

I had shim jump out once but that was a loud clatter proportionate to the revs.
If you suspect this, don't run the engine because the shim can screw the engine if it travels.

Good luck.

Would affect the pedal feel and sounds which does not change with speed ?

I had the same problem it was the nearside engine mount starting to break and hitting the heat shielding
