Hi guys,

Currently driving an increasingly leggy and tatty fabia vrs diesel. But want a bmw to commute in for a new job. My fabia will do 55 real mpg on that commute, and its remapped with 175hp.

So I've got a £5/6k budget to get the most powerful diesel bmw I can. Buuuut it has to be able to do real world mpg of at least 45/50mpg on a motorway run!

What would recommend? Would love a 6 pot 325d or 330d if they'll do that kind of mpg!

A friend had a remapped e90 320d. He drove it everywhere like he'd stolen it and it still averaged over 50 mpg.

My E90 325D averages 37mpg with real world driving. If I reset it, I'll get high 40's for a while, but then it always settles at 37mpg

My e90 330d (manual) gets about 43mpg overall for me. Around 50mpg on a decent motorway run usually. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Same and our old E90 330d (auto) got about 43mpg, they are a great all round car I think.
