Saw this push me pull you in Avonmouth...

It is real,chatting to a mate, they bolt two chassis vans together to save on shipping.

Yep they are driveable from each end - they just check the steering is locked in the not driven end and away they go.

Surely it's either for some Top Gear larking about or something illegal.

it is just for shipping. they get split and the rear chassis bolted on before the body is fitted and the go on the road.

Cracking idea - space saving and keeping 2 cabs mobile at the same time..

What do they do with the exhausts though?

The factory-fitted exhaust will be shorter than the cab, ready for the converter to fit whatever exhaust fits their chassis/body.

It'll double the lifespan. When the first engine goes tits up due to all the emissions bks on it, just jump in the back, you might get up to 80,000 miles before it's scrap then.

I saw a couple on a lorry the other day. I googled them and they are real. They at bought by bespoke coach builders.things like camper vans and car transporters. Males the options much more open for axles, suspension etc,
