Hi Matt Andy did say he was going to pass my number on to you and yeah it's already been stripped and put new bigend bearings and piston and oil rings also new valve guides and seals and put it all back together and taking it up to Dave at racing green on Wednesday to get timed up. Whys that
I did time my original engine up several times as practice, it's fairly straight forward but needs attention to detail. In the end it took a fair while for my fff head to come in, so when it did, in the interest of time I dropped the assembled block at RG and got them to put the head on.

i'd like to time it up but thought it would be best to take it to RG as i would like to get it back on the road in a few weeks as its been off the road for about 6 weeks now so have missed the summer days i will bring it out over the winter but on very very dry days and might come to a few meets
Richard after all your work do not take it out on damp days or dry days where there is even any remote chance of precipitation. I did last winter. Took the bonnet off and all the new hoses had oxidisation around the connectors. My advice is take It off the road. All the clowns saying all year use don't have a chassis or rebuild to your standard. They have rusted engine components and probably chassis. End of...
