2016 Holden line-up

I've tried Google for this one but cant find a great deal. There's a TV ad on at the moment telling us about how exciting the new Holden range will be, from the vehicles that can be seen there's obviously an Astra, Astra convertible and Insignia but what else is there in the pipeline? The ad claims a vast number of new models (I think 20+).
Of course the HSV addicts will hate the Insignia because the hot versions wont be a V8 and wont be RWD. They'll be saying how its going to be crap before they've even driven it. Will the Insignia be badged as a Commodore for Australia though?
It'll be interesting to see how pricing compares with the Opel equivalents they tried on the market a couple of years ago.

The HSV's are about having a simple, fun car. It's all about reasonable performance with massive tuning potential, but a very simple package. A small car with 4wd with a V6 isn't really the same.
It's not about economy, soft dashes, diesel etc.
I think the next Gen Commodore is going to come out of China.
But if they bring in a Camaro or a Corvette for HSV to fettle (and the Corvette sounds like the most likely from what I've read due to RHD issues), that'll do.
And yeah, I'll join in the hate for the Insignia.

Insignias, Astra's and Corsa's might be hateful to a Pom but I can't wait to have a handful of Europeans here to overcome the hateful sea of white Camry's, Corollas and Korean stuff.
I think the explosion in M and S line kitted euro stuff means people do want something over and about the A-B run of the mill vanilla we have now.

Not an exciting line up, I like the changes and updates to the Gen F2 Commodore/HSV though..
To be fair the Insignia VXR in the UK is a half decent cheap performance family mobile. I had a high spec normal Insignia as a loaner, it wasn't hateful, but not exciting either, but I reckon the VXR model with a bit of tweaking and its 4 wheel drive could be half decent.
No substitute for cubic inches though!
Still watching the used prices for the Gen F HSV GTS but they aren't coming down much!
