alternate exhaust
Discussion
All of the Ss I've seen have 2 exhaust pipes - they vary as to how far apart they are though.
Best colour is very personal - just go with what you want
only problem is once you've painted it you see other maybe better colours
don't think it suits a modern 'flip' paint - mine had a blue/green flip when I purchased it and apparently cost the owner £3k - he was done - they never took anything off only masked and the rippely fibreglass surface like mountains and valleys (now not perfect just better)

I have to admit that I have never seen an S with anything other than a centre exit exhaust, but then ....
After a quick search I found this

Not sure I like it as much as the 'norm' though

I have a pair of twin exhausts out the back of mine and think it looks quite smart, although I appreciate not all will agree with me!
Looks like you have painted the pipes mat black! However it is nice to see you have the best and fastest colour....Green.
I can see absolutely no good reason to change the pipes, anything else would just add complications. After the rear cross rail of the chassis there is nothing to hang them on anyway. The left hand of the exhaust is quite close enough to the fuel piping without trying to make that position worse.
previous owner of my S decided to renew exhaust system to full stainless steel which was most welcomed but the friggin backboxes are 4" & look like rockets! There so low to the ground every time i reverse off driveway or go up it (let alone speed bumps im yet to encounter) i hear the dreaded 'scrape'. Its at the garage currently getting the boxes sorted out to a 2" i think
someone has stolen the metal trim off the top of your bumper !!

blimmey Steve, those look bigger than the ones on the Chim parked next to it! - What diameter are they?
...it is available as a new Clive F standard V6S product?...
Andy, they are bigger than the pipes on my Chim, they are 3inch cans welded onto the stainless exhaust system. I took the S over to see Clive F and those tail pipes plus a silencer mod are the result....it is available as a new Clive F standard V6S product?...
I had a look under mine after the original post and ther is now way I could fit as silencer under the back with any hope of not losing it! I am told by an ex employee of TVR that the front pipes and the box silencer design and position were designed to give a tuned length of exhaust and that seems to be confirmed by bhp figures. TVR did know a good bit about design from a performance point of view. It would have been nice if they had been able to put a bit more design thought into other details!
It's not easy to tell from the photos but you may have a problem with those "cans". When they ground, what does the upper surface of the "can" hit the body? if it does, you've got a problem.
Notice I didn't use the word "issue" here? "Issues" are for discussion in a meeting instead of getting on with solving the real world "problem".
