First I've heard of this niche development, however I can imagine that it will find a wide audience.
I don't think that the concept is that hard to understand, given the popularity of more utilitarian Defender, Frontera, Suzuki, Wrangler vehicles, however it will be interesting to see the social groups that leap to be at the front of the queue.

I honestly see no connection with the Evoque to the likes of a Defender, Wrangle or even Vitara.I don't think that the concept is that hard to understand, given the popularity of more utilitarian Defender, Frontera, Suzuki, Wrangler vehicles, however it will be interesting to see the social groups that leap to be at the front of the queue.
A convertible Evoque is no different in principle to an Audi A3 or BMW 1 Series convertible. It's just a unibody car, the Evoque just happens to be a little taller, with marginally more ground clearance and optional front wheel drive biased AWD system. It is not really an off roader.
