At of you guys got air jacks fitted to your track cars? I never really saw the point until I saw one at The Ring a few weeks ago, and it seemed useful in between laps to change tyres and do light work without having to lug a separate jack along!

yeah but then you need to lug along an air bottle instead. i can't see why you'd need to change all 4 tyres on a track day or perform any hurried maintenance.

pointless on a track car imho. invaluable on a racer.

I swap from road/wet tyres to track tyres when I get to the track. Takes about 20 minutes in total to do all four wheels on my own with a conventional jack and an electric impact gun. The time to jack the car is minimal. Most people don't even bother with the gun, but I'm lazy smile

Air jacks are total overkill and add weight.

I concur with the above, however, I have to agree I see the attraction as it is extremely cool.

Wonder how long it would take a small air pump mounted in the car to lift it? Works for air suspension after all. smile

Then you can keep the coolness without the air tanks. smile
