just one question to you cmoose....I'm wondering how you pass so many opinions on 911's when you've never even owned one? you drive a Cayman...What!!! LOL.... driving a 911 for a day is different from driving one day in day out.....anyway as far as depreciation goes I don't think anyone really cares when they've decided to pull the pin on a car they want......but it will be the last of the 3.8 N/A engines so will it Depreciate? I'm sure it will with the mileage I'm going to put on it but in ten years time what will it be worth?....who knows we'll just have to wait and see....but can't wait to get some European GT driving in next year....of course if I want a lightweight uncompromising all out drive I'll go for a blast in my GT3RS .....I'm sure you got an opinion on that as wellEdited by GT3-RS on Wednesday 7th October 18:38

My point, is not the Targa-ish nature.
But how it is alluded to the 'bloated, twisty, stty-ness' of a Targa.
A 991 Targa would most likely see offf - and for the pedants I highlighted the bit maybe not clearly stated- "any [edit] pre 991[/edit] non GT/TT 911 ever made".
i.e. Not too shabby in the real world. Which is actually where we live / drive, as opposed to tonking round at mach 3 with our hair on fire whilst drifting with a 'dab of oppo'
Do you per chance own a Targa? But how it is alluded to the 'bloated, twisty, stty-ness' of a Targa.

For me the targa is not a drivers car it's a viisual car. It's all about how it looks. With that fancy roof mechanism it's going to weigh a ton, and not handle like the rest of the range, but in my opinion it' is the best looking 991 available (after the gts coupe). I would have one in a heart beat if I had a spare £110k floating about.

It is 90KG heavier than an S, not exactly a heavyweight.anonymous said:

I think I remember the post you are talking about but it was specifically in reference to the Targa GTS which apparently have only been supplied in very, very limited numbers before 991.2 was launched. I think each dealer has only had one from what I remember. Certainly there aren't loads of posts from people with them! I have seen one up for sale at Bramley I think it was which was up for circa £130k and sold quickly. The posters point was that it was the last of the line normally aspirated car in a desirable and rare spec.
