After a long frustrating time with on-board cameras with rubbish sound quality I have finally found a microphone and a position to mount it that gives in my opinion all the right noises in a bike engined kit car. Here is a clip of the last test location using a RODE video pro mic

What sort of camera is it plugged in to please? Also my BEC has the engine in the back so I doubt your position would apply! frown

I use the Garmin Camera, built in GPS, Altimeter, G-Meter and with their free software you can do overlays with speed maps etc.

Not perfect but better than a GoPro IMO
