So it's hell here, as I type I'm just back from work after another 70 hour week and I don't think I'm going to sleep, again!

The local chavs seem to have acquired a quad bike and are currently doughnuting it on the green next to my flat, they didn't stop doing the same till gone 1am last night. It's a change as normally it's a stolen motorbike or 3, mine was nicked a few months back...

Thing is I even had a PCSO here yesterday, giving me FOC smartwater, they were doing it outside then, on the grass! she looks and just said "I'd not want to live here..." No calling anybody, nothing, just accepting of it. If I call it in nothing seems to get done either...

The thing is the one out there now has no number plates, likely not insured, likely nicked and they just seem to accept it, saying that the chav's don't care and just goad them so they in effect leave them to it! If I was acting like that I'd be nicked on the spot, too easy....

Thankfully I've sold and will be out in a few weeks, think I've just broken myself and need a vent...is there any way to get them to actually take some action?

Complain - and if that doesn't yield results a formal complaint.

Say you are going to shoot them if they don't stop. They'd be out PDQ then.

don't actually do this...

Some forces may be more concerned if they're not wearing crash helmets.

Check the panel that holds your PCC to account and send your nearest Councillor a letter or Email about it?

You're not the only person to feel like that.

You say green. Is it a public place? is it a farmer's field? Is it council property?

It is very very sad, but we are getting what we pay for (and I know that doesn't help you).

Constables will be along to say they are working very hard, almost flat out, but as there are so few of them it appears from the outside that they will happily deal with what politicians deem important (racism, homophobia, all that jazz), terrorism, they seem to love terrorism (or being able to do as they wish under the cover of anti terrorism), but apart from that they seem to go for the easy target, those of us that are easily accountable because we work, own homes, legally drive motorvehicles etc.

Scrotes seem exempt.

The green is council property, a park, intersected by some roads but has a kids playing area, football pitches etc.

No helmets, never are, whether motorbike or quad

Thing is the police watch it, they've been here whilst it's happening and do nothing. If they do ever come they just ride away and the ones on the bench/in the street just abuse them/throw things/smash things...again in full view.

Postcode is BR5 2 - you should see a green crescent on google maps - it's now cross-crossed with churned mud tracks. I would take a photo but it's too dark.

MP is either Bob Neil or Jo Johnson, no idea on councillors but need to check...

They're still here and at it too...

Some force policies in the circs you describe = do not pursue.

Little darling with no lid falls off, dies/ injures him/ herself and force are held accountable/ culpable.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

It can be a bit iffy with a London park but probably not in this case.

As La Liga says, pursuits of kids on motor/quad bikes is a no-no. Without helmets it is impossible. Wasn't there something about 5 years ago of a chase on foot where a kid ran out into the road and the police were heavily criticised, possibly discipline on the officer chasing?

I sympathise. I rented a holiday cottage and the fortnight was ruined by a kid on a motorbike riding along a footpath across fields every night. A quiet chat with him about us having a kid asleep after 8 was met with abuse. To have it outside my home would have me fuming.

Hello,

I'm sympathetic and glad you're getting out!

I live a few miles away but it has to be said that is a notoriously ropey area and it's no new thing. That doesn't excuse the scrotish behaviour but it's not like you didn't view the property before moving in.

The police won't be able to respond as they are streched to the limit!

The truth is,that there will be 4 or 5 squad cars at a reasonably minor RTA!

True, did but it was all that I could afford at the time. Thing is I lived with the parents about 1/2 mile away (off knoll rise if you know it) and visited daily for weeks at various times without anything untoward, that and all my other research saying that the other side of the railway/bypass was far worse.

Needless to say the new place is the opposite, nicer area, worst place in best area (currently opposite), it's even a private unmade road!

Can't wait to get some sleep finally!

Worst house in the best road much better than vice versa!

Could you point me I the direction of this minor RTC with 5 squad cars. I really could do with the staff.

I've got half a dozen cars to patrol 500 miles of m/way, plus all the A roads. We're due for the chop soon as well.
