Gearbox gone in Stuttgart

Hi all.
I have been driving through Europe for the pay two weeks but yesterday the gearbox have up on me (at 50k miles on the clock! 😱) My warranty covers the repair bit only in the uk. Anyone know a recovery company I can use. My European cover is st. Paid £268 and they tell me I'm not covered. PLEASE HELP ME! 😢😢

Would it not be cheaper and easier to source a second hand gearbox locally and have a garage fit it?
